John Bible was shot on Charles Street in downtown Baltimore. He had just given a sealed envelope to Frank Browne who was in practice for himself. Bible wanted the envelope taken to his sister, Nora, a vascular surgeon at Johns Hopkins, if something happened to him. Something happened to him. Nora Bible was a good surgeon. She was a decent, easy going person. When she and Frank opened the envelope and found out that her brother had been killed by Colonel Javier Rivera from Guatemala. Frank told Nora, "This is something to stay out of." Everyone told her to bury her brother and let this go. They were certain she would. She had never rocked any boats before. She did this time. She went to the State Department, and used Rivera's name openly. It got back to Rivera. Oscar Birdsong, who knew how things worked, told Frank Browne, "No one can keep her alive now. They were standing in the empty parking lot beside the Raven's Stadium. Oscar told Frank, "But you and I are going to try."
