So, I want you all to kneel with us in prayer to God that He may give us grace to say from our hearts, "The Lord hath given and the Lord, hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." It was indeed a novel scene; but why should it have been? "Was it not the most reasonable thing to do under the circumstances? Is it not that which our heavenly Father encourages us to do when in trouble? Mr. Young himself led in prayer. His voice was choked, and at times he could speak only with difficulty. His prayer was simple but direct. It was the confident child asking for what he certainly needed at that moment. In the midst of the prayer, the bereaved father was overpowered by a heavenly influence. He forgot to make further petitions but began to praise God for blessing3 received. The preacher and his wife were in a state of holy ecstacy, and complacent satisfaction. Prayer ended, they all arose, and the minister said, "It is enough; God has torn our hearts, but He has also bound them up. He has taken the child, but He has also given the balm and comfort of heaven. Our loss in one way has been our gain in another. We have for many yeaTS been trying to do God's will; today we are called upon to suffer His will. I find it is much easier to do more
