This polish, in the case of several of the patterns which closely resemble mitre cuttings, tends to increase the effect, and will doubtless impress the trade when the line is presented for its approval. Zanesville Stoneware Co. William M. Narrin, who represents the Zanesville Stoneware Co., at 23 West 23d Street, is showing for that concern a large assortment of shapes and sizes in jardinieres, pedestals, umbrella stands, fern dishes, etc., in matt green pottery. The ware is nicely glazed and is a pleasing shade of green. while the shapes are likewise attractive. _ Central Glass Works The Central Glass '"orks, of-Vheeling, W. Va., have already brought out some of their new designs for next year, among which is a new stemware shape now displayed by A. P. Doctor, New York representative of the concern, in his showrooms, at 66 VI/est Broadway. This shape is rather tall and in outline is difierent from anything in the line. Its principal feature is an easy curving line that is concave about the center of the piece and which has the effect of giving a most pleasing brilliance to the glass, even when it is without decoration of any kind. Realizing that its high character demanded corresponding treatment of details, the concern has made the shape with cut stems and two difierent high-class etchings, both of which are carefully executed and admirably suited to the new shape. Another new item in the Central line is an optic pinch bottle, made in two sizes. This, while not new to the trade, is new in the Central line, and will hereafter be carried b_v the concern.
