This video on ponds and rivers is part of a series that brings natural history and environmental subjects to life, with the use of multiple image live-action photography, graphics and animation techniques. It is intended to enable viewers of all ages to see natural events from a more involved angle. The episode featured shows footage gathered at all points of the globe, bringing together rivers from around the world, and includes such features as dams, waterfalls and rapids. It also shows creatures who have adapted to life in the fast stream. Further issues covered include how the Seine got its name; pond and river stories that permeate and link all world cultures; and a recurring throughline which follows the hero character (an animated origami boat) as it traces water's cycle from snow pack to stream, to river to sea, and then returns again to start the cycle anew. These and many more are all on display within the corridors and display cases of the "pond and river" wing of the virtual reality Eyewitness museum.
