A better feeling is beginning to be visible in the Globe, and if it continues to increase, hop e miy be entertained that, in future, that press will not be so disgraceful as it has hitherto been to the administration and party which it supports. "We answer for it, that the efforts which the particular partisans of Mr. Van Bwren have made and are making in Congress and at Albany, to settle the South Carolina question by virtual submission to the nullifiers, will have more effect than any other circumstances, in preventing his election to the office of President. In proportion to the present popu larity of the proclamation and recent Mes sage of General Jackson, will be the final odium of exertions to.defeat the aoctrines and pledges which have won for those manifestoes so much favor in twenty States of the Union.
