Written over a period of 50 years, both in Iran and Israel, Iren's poetry moves from newfound love to reminiscence with the lyrical touch of classic love songs.

About Morris Iren

Morris Iren was born in the town of Bassrah in the South of Iraq on February 28, 1935. After religious persecution in his home country, Mr. Iren and his family relocated to Israel after the country was founded in 1948. He continued his studies in English in Tehran at the Meir Abdullah School for the Iraqi Jewish community and the American community School. He wrote his first English poem in 11th grade, and was heralded by his American literature teacher to be a poet. With the publication of his book, Mr. Iren hopes to have fulfilled that prediction.
