About Laura-Dawn MacGregor-Portlock

Laura-Dawn was born in Bristol in the middle of a storm in October 1981. The daughter of a Nurse and an RAF Technician she grew up all over the place and doesn't really call anywhere home. Being of British and American ancestry she feels loyal to both countries and describes herself as an Anglo-American. Laura-Dawn showed an interest in literature at a very young age thanks to having parents who loved books, as soon as she was able to speak her Mum started teaching her to read. From then on Laura-Dawn was addicted to books and would happily choose a life without TV and films so long as she had books....and music. Laura-Dawn currently lives in Hertfordshire with her wife Sorina, four cats Snowflake, Rusty-Bucket, Merlin and RiverSong and two rabbits The Doctor and Gavroche. Her interests include books and writing obviously. Playing with the cats and rabbits. Music of most genres, especially cheesy 80's classic rock, musicals and 60's stuff. Making up songs and singing them randomly at her wife, cats, rabbits, imaginary friends. Cross stitch. Jigsaw puzzles. Lego! Some TV including Doctor Who, Call the Midwife, Glee, Once Upon a Time and Game of Thrones. Going to ComicCons and geeking out.show more
