Excerpt: ... with all the timber & wood therof....in Sittuate aforesd being.... fifteen acres be it more or less. & is bounded on the north by the marsh of Georg Russell which Comonly is Called Rotten marsh. begening at a white oake tree standing at the lower End of the High way which goeth to the North River & from the sd tree Extendeth toward the west along by the sd marsh sixty Rods to a horn bound tree & from the sd tree to the south forty Rods Runing by the land of m' william witherell deceased on the west 6 Plymouth County, Mass., Records of Deeds thereof to a stake three paces short of a white oak tree standing Right in the range & from the sd stake it extendeth forty five Rods by a range of trees toward the East by the high way aforsd and soe Extendeth forty Rods towards the north along by the sd high way to the whit oak tree at the northerly end of the sd highway & is bounded to the south by the land of Israell Hobard & toward the east by the highway aforesd.... And I.... promiss.... That Sarah my wife shall surrender up her Right.... before a Magestrate" The deed was signed by Israel and Sarah Hobard, and acknowledged by both, on 26 April, 1687, before Nathaniel Thomas and John Cushing, Justices of the Peace. The witnesses were Nathaniel Tilden and John Witherell. It was recorded 30 April, 1687, by Nathaniel Thomas, Clerk. p. 21 On 21 April, 1687, "Ralph Powell of Marshfeild.... yeoman & Martha his wife" for 370, current money, sold to "Leiut Isaac Little of Marshfeild.... all our houseing & lands whatsoever.... in....
