Max loves animals, but his sneezy, allergic sister means no family pets. He's so happy when he realizes he can be a pet sitter. About Julie Sykes

Julie Sykes was born in Surrey and lives in Hampshire with her husband and three children. She has had many books published by Little Tiger Press, including several about her creation, Little Tiger. I Don't Want to Go to Bed! and I Don't Want to Have a Bath! won the Nottinghamshire Children's Book Award. Nathan Reed graduated from Salmouth College of Art in 2000. He has illustrated children's books for Puffin and HarperCollins as well as for Macmillan and Campbell Books. He illustrated Hocus Pocus Hound, one of the most popular titles in Kingfisher's I Am Reading series. Nathan lives in London.
