Agent Sam Ryan is sick of feeling lonely. It's time to take control and get a life outside of work. But Stephan, her boss, won't let her go easily. Offered the choice between guarding a clone, or remaining stuck in her office, Sam reluctantly accepts the former, even though she suspects Stephan is using her as bait to draw out the dangerous Sethanon.

Gabriel is relieved to discover he's finally shaken Sam as his partner, until he learns her new assignment is guarding Wetherton. He and Stephan know Wetherton could only have come from Hopeworth, the base involved in DNA experiments for decades, where it is more than likely that Sam was created. But there is a growing likelihood that the military base is also the home of Sethanon himself. Gabriel is determined to protect her, yet all too soon he discovers the connection between he and Sam is far deeper than anyone could ever have imagined.

Our customer reviews

Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth The anticipated final book in The Spook Squad Trilogy is brilliant, though I do have to admit that I am gutted that there wonâ??t be any more in this series. The final book answers all questions and of both Samâ??s past and future. A wonderful series and a fantastic end to it, I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone to be honest. I loved it. The Review: Agent Sam Ryan has had enough with her partner Gabriel Sternâ??s attitude and she wants out of the Special Investigations Unit. Sheâ??s sick of feeling lonely, of having no life and most of all sheâ??s sick of lusting after Gabriel, who shows no interest or emotions towards her, except annoyance. When her boss offers her a choice, of staying and being stuck in her office, until Gabriel becomes reasonable, or guard a clone replacement of Dan Wetherton, a government minister. Sam reluctantly chooses the latter-even though sheâ??s positive that sheâ??s being set up as bait to draw out the SIUâ??s elusive nemesis. Gabriel is relieved when he finds out that Sam is being reassigned until he finds out heâ??s getting a new partner and that Sam is being assigned to protect Wetherton-or whatever it is thatâ??s replaced him, after all Wethertonâ??s clone could only come from one place: Hopeworth, the military base that contains the elusive secrets of Samâ??s past. Determined to protect her, Gabriel is drawn into a fight against unspeakable evil. With Samâ??s memories returning and her powers growing, her past and present come rushing together faster than imaginable, but with Gabrielâ??s help she needs to find the answers sooner rather than later. All too soon Gabriel and Sam discover that the connection between them is more powerful than either of them could ever imagine.
