Review Text

Penguin have a long-standing reputation for good reference works such as this, with a range of dictionaries spanning various specialist subjects that are a boon to students and of interest and assistance to many wanting a quick, accurate reference. This volume is in its sixth edition, and certainly this is a topic that must need regular updating. The arrangement of entries is conventional A-Z, and the entries themselves are succinct and pleasingly clear. For anyone who puzzles over the many technical terms sprinkling the financial pages of the newspapers, as well as those with more pressing reasons to be clear about a particular word or phrase, this is an invaluable reference.
