Penelope : A Western Novel
"Penelope" by M.J. Davis is the story of a girl who was orphaned at a young age. After living alone in the woods for a while, Penelope's brother comes to find her and builds them both a home. Penelope ultimately marries an Indian named Painted Pony who lights up her life with humor and love. After Painted Pony's tragic death in a buffalo hunt, Penelope gives birth to his son, whom she names Little Eagle. She raises him lovingly to respect the circle of life.

About MS M J Davis
M.J. Davis is passionate about writing and is an avid reader. The mother of two grown children, the author is a graduate of the American School, and though now retired, has worked through the years as a waitress, secretary, and office clerk. "Penelope" is Ms. Davis' first book. She currently lives in West Virginia.
