Our customer reviews

"Here's a little baby One, two, three, stands in his cot What does he see? PEEPO!" Set in the 1940's PEEPO! is an autobiography in pictures and rhyme of Allen Ahlberg, illustrated by his wife Janet. Each page has a hole in the middle of it and you get a sneak peek into the next page, which is a rich illustration of the day to day life of the baby. The repeating rhyme is attractive to children and each page has a depth of historical information. We read this book every day! It is a favourite and is always dragged off the shelf by my 2 year old. As an adult I also love this book as it really is a historical documentation into a day in the life of an average family in the 1940's. The text is beautifully written and rolls off the tongue. The pictures have a million things to point out, find and discuss with your toddler. I highly recommend this book!show more
