Not illustrated. 1922 edition. Excerpt: ...of the National Peanut Cleaners' and Shellers' Association, of Suffolk, Va., to an alleged unfair clause in the selling contract of that organization. The disputed clause provides that in case of dispute with a buyer, provided the shellers' committee finds the buyer in the wrong, the facts in the case are provided all members of the peanut association. The grocers are desirous of having this clause modified to make such notification reciprocal; that is, that buyers be notified when seller is found to be in the wrong. In a letter to the Association, Chairman W. L. Juhring of the contract committee of the National Wholesale Grocers' Association, writes: "As chairman of the contract committee of the National Wholesale Grocers' Association, my atention has bsen called to the conditions of purchase and sale of the shelled peanuts. "I have examined the form very carefully. A great many members of the National Wholesale Grocers' s=ociation buy shelled peanuts and are interested in your terms and conditions. "It strikes me that no association wishes to be unfair in the terms and conditions, but your terms and conditions are certainly not fair to both seller and buyer, probably through overs'ght. If you have any dispute with a buyer and your committee decides that the buyer is wrong, as I read it, they notify the other members of your association.
