The Furnandez triplets are finding third grade a lot tougher than second-sometimes they have so much homework, they have to miss watching their favorite television hero, Captain Aventura. Unlike his more hardworking brother and sister, Sherman and ZZ, Oscar often finds himself daydreaming when he should be studying.

One day after school, Mr. and Mrs. Furnandez take the triplets to their office at the Intergalactic Animal Space Program (IASP). While their parents attend an important meeting, the kittens are allowed thirty minutes to play before starting on their homework. Oscar, however, gets lost in his imagination and fails to do one lick of his assignment. When his father catches him still playing, Oscar blurts out a lie so he doesn't get in trouble. Soon he has to tell more and more lies to cover his tracks. Just how far will the little kitten go to avoid being punished for something he did wrong?

A heartwarming and humorous tale in the vein of The Berenstain Bears, The Pawtown Pals: The Case of the Four-Toed, Two-Fingered Homework Eater teaches kids the importance of hard work and honesty, and how our actions can hurt or help others.

About J Herriot-Trejo

J. Herriot-Trejo has always enjoyed writing, often winning awards for her stories as a child. Dreaming of becoming a children's author, she went on to earn a BA in interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in English and psychology from Virginia Tech, an MA in human services, specializing in marriage and family therapy, at Liberty University, and an English as a second language certification at TEFL International, in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Over the years, she's worked with children at a large homeless shelter, and has also taught preschool and elementary schoolchildren karate and English as a second language. Never losing her passion for writing, Herriot-Trejo was inspired by her faith, family, love of animals, and her lifelong appreciation of the Berenstain Bears books to create the Pawtown Pals series, which is designed to help young readers understand biblical concepts and values through humorous adventures in a town of animals.
