Excerpt from The Patriot, Vol. 1: 4 May, 1922
The patriot was started on 9th February, 1922, with the idea of informing the public of the movements which threaten the safety and welfare of the British Empire, movements the dangers of which are either concealed or made light of in the majority of newspapers.
The trial period of three months expires with the current issue, and the very favourable reception given to the paper, as well as its growing circulation, encourages the promoters to continue it.
