By way of illustration of the conflict which sometimes occurs between the decisions of the Circuit Court of the United States of different circuits, we print in this number the decisions rendered at about the same time by Courts of the Sixth and Seventh Circuits respectively in two similar cases brought under the same patent and in which absolutely contradictory conclusions were reached. These cases serve perhaps to emphasize the need of a single appellate tribunal whose decision would harmonize the decisions of the lower courts when these are at variance.
