Of the 1,913 patent applications filed in Germany by citizens of the United States during the year just passed, 48% per cent. were granted, while only 23% of those filed by Germans passed successfully through the Patent Oflice. The fact that the applications of British inventors show as large a percentage as those of Americans, leads to the belief that the large majority of German applications filed by Americans and British subjects have previously tindergone the severe examination prescribed by the patent laws of these countries. Requests made under Section 71 (1) of the Patents and Designs Art, 1907, for registration as proprietors of certain Patents.--Objecti0n by Patentee on ground of want of consideration, non-disclosure of facts and misrepresentation, and further on ground that a Deed was not a legal assignment of all the Patents.--Patents in question not sealed at the date of execution of Deed.--Entry on the Register of documents affecting proprietorshi/1; '5'c. An application was made by the Liquidators of a Company to be registered as proprietors of a series of Patents by virtue of a Deed of Assignment between the Patentee and another and the Company; and a subsequent application was made by another Company under a further Assignment to be registered as proprietors of certain of the Patents the subject of the original Deed.
