About MS Britta Elmberg

Britta Elmberg grew up in the Ottawa Valley, first in Fallowfield and then near Appleton. She lived in the country, near or on a farm her entire childhood. She looked after many cows and horses on the family farm near Appleton, and participated in different 4-H clubs and shows. As a young adult, Britta studied English literature and Music History at Carleton University. After her initial Bachelor of Arts, she studied theory, singing and clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Then, she was accepted into Music School at the University of Toronto, and later went on to graduate from the Faculty of Education. Britta taught for a time with the Toronto District School Board as a classroom teacher. She left teaching to look after her own children, but is now back at teaching again. She currently works for Educatus, a Brampton based learning center for school-aged children. Britta's other published work includes a collection of poetry, Poems for Now, and a children's book, Bunny and Anka.show more
