Review quote

* " Another standout from the creators of a line of perennial favorites." -- "Publishers Weekly," starred review" The bright collage images and lilting language bring the animals to life on the page" -- "School Library Journal"""" Carle's use of negative space and of sculptural line conveys not only the essence of each animal but also the energy of its movement. A fine read-aloud with a subtle, yet clear, message."-- "Booklist"""A "New York Times" Best Sellershow more

Our customer reviews

This book is similar to 'Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?' in the sense that it's going from one animal to the next, however we haven't found that it has engaged our daughter (1) like Brown Bear does - possibly due to the colourful backgrounds which don't help the animals stand out to a young eye(?). Due to the names of some of the animals (e.g. Green sea turtle) it doesn't have the easy flow of 'Brown Bear' for reading aloud more
