Painting Toads & Turtles in Gouache
Although often overlooked, toads and turtles make wonderful subjects. Their unique patterns and textures are amazing and can be challenging to interpret with your paints and brushes. With gouache, an opaque watercolor, every little detail can be recorded. To brush up on your skills painting with gouache, the first exercise in this 36 page workbook is practicing blending on a simple snail image. Then, the next two subjects are an American Toad and an Eastern Box Turtle. The step by tep demonstrations are easy to follow and guide you through the beginning black and white line drawing to the finished full color painting. Enjoy another aspect of your artistic journey!
