The "Oxford Textbook of Surgery" is a reference tool for practising and trainee surgeons. It combines comprehensive coverage of the field with 3000 colour photographs and line drawings, which illustrate a wide variety of specific surgical techniques. Containing all the information in the printed book, the CD-ROM version of the "Oxford Textbook of Surgery" can be accessed with ease. The CD-ROM's features include: the ability to search for any word or combination of words anywhere in the text, tables, figure captions and references; use of a thesaurus, wildcards and Boolean operators to make searches more flexible; every paragraph, figure and table is indexed, enabling the user to search with speed and precision; and the facility to print out any of the text or copy it to the clipboard.
