About Howard S. Friedman

Howard S. Friedman is Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Riverside. Major awards for his health psychology research include the Outstanding Contributions to Health Psychology Award from the American Psychological Association, and the James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award from the Association for Psychological Science, its most prestigious award in the field of applied scientific research. Author or editor of a dozen books and 150 scientific
articles, Dr. Friedman graduated from Yale and was awarded a National Science Foundation graduate fellowship for his doctoral work at Harvard.
