Review quote

"In the vast world of nonfiction writing, Malcolm Gladwell is as close to a singular talent as exists today...Outliers is a pleasure to read and leaves you mulling over its inventive theories for days afterward." -- New York Times Book Review "The explosively entertaining Outliers might be Gladwell's best and most useful work yet...There are both brilliant yarns and life lessons here: Outliers is riveting science, self-help, and entertainment, all in one book." -- Entertainment Weekly "No other book I read this year combines such a distinctive prose style with truly thought-provoking content. Gladwell writes with a high degree of dazzle but at the same time remains as clear and direct as even Strunk or White could hope for." -- Atlanta Journal Constitution

Our customer reviews

Outliers is an interesting book to read, to see a different story behind success. It's important when you were born, where you were born, in which social class and if there are ideal circumstances. What also matters is perseverance. A success story isn't just one person's story alone, there are other factors involved, always. That is what Malcolm Gladwell wants to reveal in this book, the other story behind someone's success. I liked this book. The author is a good storyteller and I enjoyed reading every single chapter. He covers many different subjects, ranging from people who have made billions to people who are extremely smart and airplane crashes. It's versatile and entertaining.show more
