Radio-Over-Fiber is an attractive technology for millimeter-wave (mm-wave) wireless applications, because it reduces the complexity of the necessary numerous base stations. Several methods exist to generate mm-wave modulated optical signals for such a system. The optical phase- locking technique may be applied successfully in generating mm-wave signal in the optical domain.
