Description

One Woman's Poetry is a remarkable collection of poems by author Pat Hart Brunstrom gleaned from a lifetime of working, living, and traveling around the world. With verses written as expressions of her thoughts as well as her numerous adventures, these pages these pages provide a small glimpse into the world of a woman who has lived and traveled in the United Kingdom, South America, Spain, the United States, and Europe. With experience working as a fruit picker, coffee bar server, actor, choreographer, and director, she brings a unique, introspective look to life's myriad experiences including a fearless look at difficult subjects such as adolescence, love, and lost innocence. Brunstrom uses vivid imagery to expound on the sobering beauty she encounters in works such as November," "The Village," and "Yorkshire Sky." An excellent addition to any poetry lover's library, these exceptional pieces will speak to both your heart and mind and linger with you long after you have closed the book.show more

About Pat Hart Brunstrom

Pat Hart Brunstrom was born in Liverpool and grew up in Oxford. Her time growing up was divided between a boarding school in the city and a cottage on the river Thames without gas, electricity, or running water and a mile from the nearest road. This home was an extraordinary place watched over by an extraordinary woman, her mother. Her parents are divorced, and she is convinced she would have had a duller life had they stayed together. She attended Teacher Training College in Bath and taught in a primary school in Oxford where she met and married her husband. They have worked, studied, and travelled together ever since. She has taught English, dance, and drama and currently works as a 'seaside landlady' in Hastings, England.show more
