Holker Abbott, Robert A. Boit, George B. Dorr, A. F. Estabrook, T. B. Fitzpatrick, Francis L. Higginson, Wallace L. Pierce, A. Shuman, and S. D. Warren. Of this Committee the President was Chairman. In the opinion of the Committee any further efforts to increase the building fund would be unwise until the condition of the financial markets has decidedly improved. At an appropriate time in the future a public appeal for subscriptions will be made. The Committee believes that the response will be generous, not only from those who frequently visit the Museum, but from those who feel civic pride in the excellence of its collections and in its educational work.
