And the wise virgins said, "Not so, for there is not enough for us and for you: but go ye, and buy for yourselves." And while they went to buy, the bridegroom appeared: and those who were ready, went with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. Afterwards, came the other virgins, and said, "Lord, Lord, open to us." But the lord replied, "I know ye not," St. Matthew, xxv, 1. 146 I Jesus in Samaria, --resting at Jacob's Well. p. 140.
