Description

The first in a series about a modern girl from California who dreams of being a medieval knight. After casting a spell, Gaelynn Blackwood is transported to Thaelia's World by the Goddess Jaira after spending her young life preparing for the journey. Life isn't as Gaelynn hoped. Earning the trust of her new companions is difficult. The men resent her. Women aren't warriors. Gaelynn is spoiled and rebellious. Growing up and learning to get along with others may kill her. Sir Braeden du Faucione wants nothing more than to get back home to Greycliff to take his place as his sire's heir. Three long years in the desert have taken toll on Braeden's mental health. Gregory, his brother, wants Braeden dead, so he can become heir. There is no easy road to Faucione: treachery, assassination attempts, and a king who threatens to take all Braeden holds dear, stand in the knight's way. Braeden never believed he would fall in love with a sword-welding firebrand, much less make it home in one piece. Gaelynn and Braeden will face incredible odds before they can be happy - if they don't kill each other first.show more
