Witaker-_ Prosecuting Attorney ct al. decided in August by the U. S. District Court tor the District of Connecticut, it was held: The Public Act of the State of Connecticut (chap. 77, Public Acts 1921) provides for the use of the highways by jitney buses through the granting of licenses by the Public Utilities Commission. Held constitutional and valid. The commission may make reasonable rules and regulations with re spect to routes, fares, speeds, schedules and continuity of service for the convenience and safety of passengers, and the public are to be considered. On an application for an injunction restraining the enforcement of this statute, held the statute was valid and constitutional; that its passage was in the proper exercise of the police power of the state, and the applica tion for preliminary injunction denied.
