Description

Chelsea Ross knows she's a great actress. Which is lucky, as she's just got the toughest role of her life! Washed up from Hollywood and in serious need of some cash, Chelsea jumps at the $10,000 opportunity to act as 'carer' to famous hockey player Mark Bressler, currently injured after a car crash. After all, how hard can it be to play nice and pick up after an incredibly hot invalid in need of her tender loving care? Just three months of playing nurse and the cash is hers. But Mark Bressler doesn't need help. The moody hockey player's glory days may be over, but he has no intention of letting anyone aid his recovery, least of all the maddeningly cheerful Chelsea. He's determined to get her to quit - and Mark isn't the type to give in. But then again, neither is Chelsea...show more

Review quote

"A cute story" Heat Magazine "This is the first book by Rachel Gibson that I have read and I really enjoyed it. The plot was light and easy to read with the story mainly focusing on Chelsea and Mark and not many sub plots to distract the reader elsewhere. That said, I thought it worked very well and I became totally engrossed in finding out what would happen between them" -- Sarah Taylor Today I'm Reading "One sexy book! it was enjoyable and funny and - did I mention - sexy. Very much so. This is a nice and easy, feel-good, sit-back-and-relax book. I'd like to read the rest of the series. Hopefully it's just as sexy, witty and funny like this one" -- Ivana Maric Willing To See Less "If you like saucy chick lit with lots of sexual tension this is for you!" Chick Lit Centralshow more

About Rachel Gibson

Rachel Gibson's storytelling career began at the age of sixteen when she ran her Chevy Vega into the side of a hill, and told her parents she'd been the victim of a hit and run. They believed her, and she's been telling stories ever since. Rachel has three children and still lives in her native Boise, Idaho. When not writing, she can be found boating on Payette Lake with Mr. Gibson, shopping for shoes, or forcing her love on an ungrateful cat. Visit her at www.rachelgibson.comshow more

Our customer reviews

Chelsea Ross is a struggling actress who supplements her income by working as a personal assistant to annoying celebrities, her latest being a depressed hockey player Mark Bressler who is still recovering from a car accident. She needs the promised $10,000 bonus for a breast reduction that will take her out of bimbo roles and make her a serious actress. She just has to survive three months of his meanness first. Except he is not that mean. Yes he is a bit rude at the beginning, but soon mellows down, which takes a lot of the fun out of this novel. Most of the book plays out at Mark's house, so one would expect a bit more tension between the two, a few more twists and turns. I applaud the absence of truly tragic back stories and implausible twists, I just wished that after the story dragged a bit, the sugary ending didn't come so cheaply. The book doesn't really have any major faults, but it won't make your hair stand either. While I love Rachel Gibson's hockey series, this is not my favorite book out of them.show more
