Description

When a white policeman shoots an unarmed black teenager, the faith and strength of two families are shaken and a Midwest inner city community struggles with all-too-familiar tensions. The city's lead investigator strives to control escalating protests, a middle school teacher tries to calm her frightened students, and a pastor sees a rare opportunity for his community's voice to be heard. The victim's friend feels the prison walls of gang and drug-related violence closing in, and the officer suffers under a burden of guilt and shame. But the heaviest decision falls on average-Joe hospital technician George Washington, who finds himself--gun in hand--face to face with the man who killed his son.show more

About David M Williamson

When not writing fantasy and science fiction, David Williamson is a U.S. Air Force enlisted aircrew flyer with over twenty years on active duty. He has five short personal stories published in God Still Leads and Guides, a compilation by Mark Littleton (available on Amazon). David also has a free e-book, Elements of Critique, available on his blog, covering 30 subjects based on his positive experiences and lessons learned in a critique group. David is a husband to his amazing wife Jami and a father of four wild children ranging from toddler to teens. He is also a Christian songwriter, worship leader, pianist, and coffee fiend. After much cajoling and encouragement from his wife, David's first-draft fantasy novel is undergoing revision and will be released later this year.show more
