Excerpt: ...passing of this Statute is exempt from examination in English or Mental Science, as part of the first examination for the degree of Bachelor of Laws, shall not be required to pass in either of these subjects. VII. The fee for the first examination for the degree of Bachelor of Laws shall be two guineas, and for each of the second and third examinations, three guineas, subject in all cases to the provisions of the Statute "Conduct of University Examinations." VIII. Candidates' notices for the examinations for the Degree of Bachelor of Laws must be sent in to the Registrar, with the fee, not later than September 1st. THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF LAWS. I. The subjects of examination for the Degree of Doctor of Laws shall be: --1. Jurisprudence. 2. Roman Law. 8. International Law And Conflict Of Laws. (These subjects to be more fully treated than for the degree of Bachelor of Laws.) 4. Principles Of Legislation. One paper will be set in each subject. II. No candidate shall be admitted to the examination for the degree of Doctor of Laws until the November examination of the second year following that in which the candidate shall have passed for the degree of Bachelor of Laws. A candidate for the Degree of Doctor of Laws must have taken out his Diploma of the Degree of Bachelor of Laws. III. Every candidate intending to present himself for examination shall signify his intention to the Chancellor not later than May 1st. IV. The fee for the examination for the degree of Doctor of Laws shall' be five guineas, subject to the provisions of the Statute "Conduct of University Examinations." PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS IN LAW.
