About Raymond Marcus

Raymond Marcus taught English and journalism at several New York City high schools, including Bushwick and Van Buren, during the course of an honored, and honorable, career. His students, and the newspapers for which he was their faculty advisor, won awards from local universities, newspapers and various private and public organizations. Many of those students went on to become successful journalists and writers. In addition to acclaim from his students, fellow teachers, and peers, Mr. Marcus is a Newspaper Fund Fellow, and holds a master's degree from Columbia University.
