Our customer reviews

[UPDATED @ 2014.4.14: I am not changing the original review below but would like to note that on writing the Publisher I received word that error mismatch of image and ISBN is wholly their own and not the re-seller. They have corrected the error on their own website and over time the new image will update across the Internet to show the Pocket non-zippered slip-case edition. As a kindness to TheBookDepository I have updated the # of stars to 5] Three stars not five as the item itself is good but it is *not* the item shown. While the ISBN does match the item in the photo, specifically a zippered enclosure, the item that ships is the non zippered, Pocket edition. It comes with a slip case identical to the one shown but again, the item you receive will not be a zippered bible. TBD reimbursed me the full cost which is wonderful. They have not changed the photo to match what they actually ship which is regrettable. That said, the Pocket edition has the same page dimensions and the two column layout and other features are as stated. The cover is red not burgundy and has the same (rather roughly done) gold embossed print. It is smith-sewn which is very good. The print while small is totally legible and consistently even. The two column format does not feel crammed. I am in mid-life and wear glasses. I have no trouble reading it. As my bible is in service daily, to and from Mass etc, carried in a bicycle messenger bag, a zippered enclosure is highly preferable. I was not required to return it so I shall use it. We shall see how long the slip case protects more
