Description

Losing two breasts to cancer in one year is devastating enough. But then the unimaginable happens, and author Kari L. Ward suddenly must face losing a third breast in the same year-and all the emotional and physical fallout that comes with being "lopsided." My Triple Mastectomy chronicles Ward's personal battle against breast cancer-and against the aftermath of her supposedly routine treatment. And as the title itself suggests, she writes with humor about one of the most terrifying and difficult things a woman can face. In the course of one year, Ward survived six surgeries. And throughout all the pain, suffering, doubt, and fear about the future, she saw the hand of God leading her through the darkest times. In this book, Ward opens up her medical records-and her heart-in hopes of encouraging others who face this daunting diagnosis. Full of truth, honesty, and wisdom My Triple Mastectomy speaks hope and encouragement into the life of anyone diagnosed with cancer or who feels like they are being tested to the limits and wants to know that they are not alone in their battle.show more
