About Chris D McCann

Christian "Chris" McCann was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, but grew up in Schenectady NY. There he had a distinguished career working in the Steam Turbine Division of the General Electric Company. Chris was active in community theatre, as part of the production staff of Schenectady Light Opera Company plays and served as a board member and president of the Schenectady Civic Ballet. He also was a playwright and founder of a children's theater company, the "Merrimoppets," which performed his original works at local schools. Chris also served as chairman of GE's Shareboard for United Way campaigns and is on the honor roll of outstanding citizens of Schenectady. After retirement, Chris wrote several books and articles on art, collectibles, and antiques, including "Master Pieces: the Art History of Jigsaw Puzzles," published in 2000 and this original novel written in 2001. He lived in Clifton Park, NY at the time of his passing in 2012.show more
