A-Z letter screens- each of the letters of the alphabet has its own visual menu. Over 1,000 headword picture icons fill 60 screens; images, animation and sound; headwords and definitions - everyone of the 1,000 headwords has its own screen consisting of the headword, which is pronounced and its definition. On this screeen, clicking on the red "active" word "fly" allows you to leap-frog to other definitions via the cross reference picon; journey of discovery; groups pop-up window - the group pop-ups link words together pictorially, showing them in context; annotated pictures - these reinforce the child's understanding of words by labelling each part of an image. The user can hear the bird sing then travel to a new headword screen by clicking on a red word; dynamic cross-referencing - having clicked on the word "fly" the child will then discover two alternative meanings - the verb and the noun. Or they can move on to other related headwords indicated by the red "hot" text.
