About John W Fuquay

A native of North Carolina, John W. Fuquay graduated from college and became a pilot in the Air Force, only to return home to manage his clan's dairy farm for four years. Deciding to further his education, the author eventually earned his Ph.D. from Penn State University, and became a Professor of Dairy Science for 30 years at Mississippi State University until his retirement in 1999. Fuquay is the co-author of a college textbook, "Applied Animal Reproduction," and was editor of the "Encyclopedia of Dairy Science." The author is married, and has two sons and two more
