Mushtaq Mohammad is a former Pakistani cricketer who played in 57 Tests and 10 ODIs from 1959 to 1979. A right-handed batsman and a leg-spinner, he is one of the most successful Pakistani all-rounders and went on to captain his country in nineteen Test matches. He was one of the five Mohammad brothers, four of whom played cricket for Pakistan. Mushtaq recently coached the United States national cricket team, but has returned to commentary for Pakistani Television. Mushtaq began his first class career at the age of 13 years and 41 days, scoring 87 and taking 5 for 28 on debut. He played for Karachi and Pakistan International Airlines at home and went on to represent Northamptonshire in county cricket from 1966 to 1977, scoring more than 1,000 runs in every season.
