Sir Mungo William MacCallum KCMG (26 February 1854 - 3 September 1942) was Chancellor of the University of Sydney from 1934 to 1936, and a noted literary critic. Mungo MacCallum was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Mungo MacCallum, merchant, and his wife Isabella, n e Renton. He studied at the University of Glasgow and at Berlin and Leipzig.
