Anatoly Gladilin (born 1935) made one of the most startling debuts in modern Russian literature with the publication of his The Chronicle of the Times of Viktor Podgursky in 1956. His work ushered in he movement known as Young Prose, whose members included Vassily Aksyonov and Vladimir Voinovich. Gladilin was forced to emigrate in 1976 to Paris, where he now lives.show more
