We hereby tender our most hearty thanks to the two kind ladies in the audience, wlio regaled us all with ice cream and cake at the close of the entertainment. By the action taken at a special meeting of our Board of Managers as found elsewhere in this paper, our readers will become acquainted with the grateful news that the Mission has recently received the generous gift of a commodious fresh air home. It consists of a very large house and small cottage, good barn, several summer houses, delightfully shaded and contains twenty-two acres of land. It is within ten minutes walk of the B. R. Station or boat landing at Cornwall-onthe-Hudson. No part of our work is more important than that of the fresh air, and a home of our own has been for years past an imperative necessity. The boon has come to us unsolicited and is a source of devout gratitude to the donors from all the members of the Board of Managers and their co-workers. We took possession of it July 1st. The only condition upon which we received it being that we fit it up and have the little ones occupy it this season. We need a hundred single cots with mattresses, sheets % by %% yds., pillows, pillow-cases, blankets and spreads. About seven dollars will fit up the room nicely. How many cots will you furnish dear friend, where for years to come little ones of want, many of whom have never slept in a bed will enjoy the luxury of a comfortable bed. If possiblo we desire to have the first hundred go there by the 10th of July.
