The team operated in the American Hockey League between 1984 and 1987, as a minor league affiliate of the Calgary Flames and the Boston Bruins. In 1987, team marketing executive Larry Haley was awarded the Ken McKenzie Award for outstanding work. In 1982, the New Brunswick Hawks were bought by the Edmonton Oilers and were renamed the Moncton Alpines, operating as the Oilers' minor league affiliate.show more
