D.K. Barton is a wife, Christian, teacher, and mother of 10 children. She graduated with honors from Towson University in Towson, Maryland earning her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Eduation. She later went on to complete her Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. For 20 years, she has been teaching reading and writing to children at both the elementary and middle school levels.
