That should the purpose of the Victorian Auxiliary of the Bible Society to present each State-school scholar with a copy of the New Testament, having a facsimile of Her Majesty's Autograph, be carried out on the occasion and as a memento of Her Majesty's Jubilee; then, this Conference recommends that the collections made in all our Churches on the Sunday of the week fixed for the celebration of that Jubilee be accounted special ones, and that one-half of those collections be given to the fund, which will pay for such Testaments, and the other half to such local purposes as the Quarterly Meeting in each circuit shall think fit. DIVIsION OF GEELONG AND BALLABAT DIsTRICT. Resolved--That in view of the growing importance of the north-western and south-western portions of the colony, and the consequent need of increased oversight by the Chairman of the District, it be a direction to the Geelong and Ballarat District Meeting to consider the question of the division of the District with a view to the formation of a new district or districts.
