PASTORAL SUPPLY. When conference adjourned last spring there were three vacancies to be supplied. Richville was supplied by Spencer 1. Owens, a licentiate from Rome First Church, who has done excellent work. Grindstone lsland was filled by Frank Loan of Watertown, and Point Peninsula which had been without a pastor the previous year, has been so well served by Frank J. Brown, that his salary was paid in full weeks before conference, with a substantial increase promised for next year in case he is returned. In the middle of the year J. W. Briggs who was appointed to the work at Lafargeville was transferred to the Central Conference, and W. P. Garrett of that conference was transferred to this, and stationed at this place. The work has prospered from the beginning of Bro. Garret's pastorate, the year closing with a good revival which has greatly strengthened and encouraged the church. 5. L. Littlefield was transferred to the Genesee Conference about the first of December, and Bro. B. F. Wood has been doing the work most acceptably at Great Bend. DISTRICT MEETINGS. Three District meetings have been held this year. The missionary Institute which was held in Theresa the last of August under the direction of Secretary Doughty of the Epworth League. The sessions were most inspiring and profitable. Drs. Forbes, Wright and Hough, together with Secretary Doughty gave us splendid service. An excellent attendance was had, considering the time of year, more than twenty ministers being present.
