Michael John-Ferrero Rose (born August 25, 1976 in Sacramento, California) is a Major League Baseball catcher, who is currently a free agent. Drafted by the Houston Astros in the 5th round of the 1995 MLB amateur draft. In spring training of 2000, Rose and 5 teammates from the Astros organization were in their hotel room when two gunmen burst in. Aaron Miles, who is now with the Los Angeles Dodgers, was in the next room and wrestled one of the gunmen to the ground before the other one fled.
