Mike Caren (Born May 5, 1977) is an American Record Producer, and the Executive Vice President of A&R for Atlantic Records and Co-President of Elektra Records. Having started at Atlantic in 1995 at the age of 17 as Manager of Rap Marketing for the label's 'Big Beat' imprint, he has been responsible for signing numerous artists that have earned gold and/ or platinum status. As a producer and writer, he contributed to the production of T.I.'s Grammy winning 'Swagga Like Us', and co-wrote Flo Rida's hit single, 'Sugar', featuring Wynter Gordon. Prior to being offered a full time position, Caren ran an independent guerilla marketing street team that Big Beat's chief, Craig Kallman, contracted to promote his urban artists.show more
