A story set in Edinburgh following the fortunes of four successful men in their mid to late thirties and the lives of hedonism they lead in the midst of an economic recession that is closing in. GARETH is an MSP who spends his days at boring committee meetings and long, drawn out debates at the Scottish Parliament. CALLUM is a property developer trying to close the deal on a new shopping centre development. BRIAN is a doctor who worries more about his looks than his patients. GERRY is a criminal defence lawyer who offers legal representation to society's underclass, doing his level best to collect his hefty legal aid fees for as little work as possible. What they have in common is their devotion to the good life: the bar and club scene in Edinburgh's George Street, good restaurants, shopping for designer clothes, and regular gym sessions. However, scratch the surface and you find that despite the clothes and the money, despite the bars and the women, deep down they're miserable. They would never admit it to each other, but each yearns for something more out of life. Will they ever find it?
